In this podcast series by the 'Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture' project, we will share insights, best practice & know-how from experts from different fields on topics relevant for the design and the implementation of European Capitals of Culture.
Podcast 1: Audience development
The first Academy Camp made it clear that audience development is not an image, but rather a movie whose script must be written in a collaborative way by all parties involved in the process and that it must be anchored in a coherent strategy, in this case of an ECoC.
Podcast 2: Digital
The second Academy Camp took the form of six online sessions across May, June, July and October 2021 with the delivery team and partners of Chemnitz 2025 and focused on Digital approaches to ECOC.
Podcast 3: European and international dimension
The third Academy Camp took the form of a hybrid format at the House of Arts in Veszprém, from 24 to 26 November 2021. The delivery team and partners discussed on Enhancing European and International Cooperation of European Capitals of Culture.
Based on the principles of cultural democracy, community development and participatory art, the fourth Academy Camp illustrated the indispensability of confidence in working with artists, citizens, NGOs and other groups interested in building projects with the community.
Podcast 5: Lessons learnt and future outlooks
Since late 2019, the Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture project has worked for the ECOCs and now different delivery teams share insights on cultural and community development. They also outline the significance on becoming the next European Capital of Culture.
