Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture invites you to two interactive meetings taking place on 17 September on Audience development and Digital challenges and opportunities for ECOCs in the framework of the ENCATC Member Talks.
These meetings aim to build on the capacity building activities, namely Academy Camps and podcasts, carried out under the Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture contract initiated by the European Commission to support capacity building and peer- learning activities for ECOCs.
The 'Audience Development' topic emerged as one of the main issues during the mapping and analysis of the capacity building needs of the delivery bodies of present and future ECOCs. In this regard, Interarts organised the first Academy Camp on audience development , directed to Elefsina's 2021 delivery team and other actors of the cultural and social life of this Greek city, as well as participants from other ECOCs. Shortly after, we launched a podcast series featuring five experts delving into the topic, discussing various aspects and sharing their insights.
The ENCATC Members Talk on "How can we become better in audience development?" is an interactive event that aims to bring together experts on Audience Development, ECOC delivery teams, individuals and organisations from the cultural and creative industries and other stakeholders to learn more about the topic, engage in a discussion and share their experiences.

The second session on “What are the digital challenges and opportunities for the future ECOC's cities?" will follow in the afternoon from 16:00 to 17:30 and will highlight different aspects of digital transition and digitalisation in the context of ECOC. The topic was addressed in the second Academy Camp , which took place earlier this year. The second season of the podcast, which is currently being developed, will also be dedicated to this topic and invite experts to explore different angles and applications.
